POWDER HAS FOUND HIS FOREVER HOME!
Powder was born blind and deaf and remained in foster care for over a year until his forever home was found!
Email Update:
We wanted to thank you again for finding him--for saving him and
taking care of him for so long. last night i sat outside in the grass with him
and promised him that nothing will happen to him here----i think he really
understands that he is safe here---he seems happy and content----he is eating,
sleeping, and going to the bathroom. we really love
him and are happy to have been trusted with his care. i am sure he will
teach us much in the days, months and years to come. we will send more pictures
and more stories in the days to come.
Powder is doing awesome---he has become a pro at opening our back door---the
only way to keep him outside is to lock the door---he has the process down
to a science---there is no trial and error---he just goes to the door---jumps
up and twists the handle either with his paw or his mouth and in he comes;l
Powder is really an awesome dog--everyone cannot believe how well he gets
along and how happy he is. he did well at the park----we are working with him
on the leash---he doesn't really like to be guided--so at this point we just
let him go where he wants. He has been an angel---it is just like he has
always been here. We were lucky to just happen upon his story online one day
and are thankful for the opportunity to care for him. hopefully you guys can
come back for a visit sometime--he loves anyone who will rub his belly.we have
some video of him opening the door and we take lots of pictures. we will try
to send the video or post it somehow for you guys to see. we have thought
of making him his own website with a blog to people who have blind and or deaf
animals.
all is well here---we will send more later and if anything special happens
we will let you know---keep in touch
schon, dennis, powder, luke, tanner, copper, and boo.
